This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.
• Deliver outstanding service to Credit Union members through various channels including phone, email, web, mail, and facsimile.
• Process deposits and withdrawals, review account details and credit/card transactions, and handle loan payments.
• Offer fundamental online banking assistance.
• Promote the Credit Union’s deposit and lending products while achieving set cross-sell targets.
• Ensure prompt and effective member service via phone, mail, and facsimile.
• Collaborate with members to identify their needs, propose solutions, and follow up on outstanding transactions.
• Suggest products and services, including additional offerings.
• Open new member accounts such as savings, checking, money market, trust, certificates, and IRA accounts.
• Complete necessary account forms and agreements.
• Conduct account maintenance tasks, including changes to address and name, updates to ownership and beneficiaries, account closures, management of deceased accounts, and notary services.
• Detect and report suspicious activities or potential fraud.
• Fulfill required training and compliance courses.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of member and sensitive information.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and represent the Credit Union in a professional manner.
• Carry out other relevant duties as assigned.
• At least 1 year of retail experience with a proven history of meeting or exceeding service and sales objectives.
• Basic knowledge of financial products and services.
• Professional verbal communication skills and etiquette.
• Proficient computer skills with a strong command of Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Capability for remote signing and the ability to operate a webcam.
• Excellent follow-up skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively listening to, understanding, and anticipating member needs.
• Excellent written communication skills (Email) with attention to grammar and spelling.
• Strong member service and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments – a team player.
• A genuine interest in assisting members through meaningful conversations, exhibiting an empathetic and caring disposition.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
