This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Contribute to the sales strategy and enrollment objectives for the Medicare Advantage product line within a designated territory.
• Create educational and enrollment initiatives in collaboration with aging agencies, senior resources, associations, faith-based organizations, and advocates for seniors.
• Deliver presentations, marketing campaigns, and educational events in accordance with approved programs and regulations.
• Assist in developing community outreach strategies and programs.
• Function as a subject matter expert on CareSource's Medicare Advantage products, Medicare, and industry trends.
• Serve as a point of contact between CareSource Health Plan and the community.
• Accurately convey product options to Medicare beneficiaries during the enrollment process.
• Achieve and surpass monthly sales targets.
• Establish and nurture strategic relationships to facilitate sales success.
• Carry out administrative tasks, which include maintaining reports and database systems.
• Meet customer expectations while balancing organizational requirements.
• Travel frequently to community events, presentations, and sales meetings.
• Operate as a mobile worker across various locations and may need to stand or sit for extended durations.
• Use standard office equipment and assist members during flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
• High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
• An Associate’s Degree in business, healthcare, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Required experience includes Medicare or Medicaid sales, or other commercial insurance sales experience.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a sales or account management role in the insurance sector is necessary.
• Proficient in utilizing Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Sales Activity Reporting.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong skills in using computers, tablets, and smartphones.
• Solid understanding of federal and state regulatory standards and marketing guidelines.
• Must hold a current, unrestricted Insurance License in Accident and Health within the assigned territory, or be able to obtain the license within 30 days of hire.
• Current Medicare Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (MFWA) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a driver’s license record check.
• An annual influenza vaccination during the influenza season is required as a condition of continued employment.
• Must reside in the territory assigned for work, though exceptions may be considered based on business needs.
• May require travel exceeding 50% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license, car, and insurance are necessary for work-related travel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Capacity to sell new products to existing customers.
• Comprehensive understanding of products, services, and solutions offered.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, listening, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Capability to set, prioritize, and achieve goals.
• Proficient in time and territory management.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
