This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Establish trust and provide education to individuals about Humana's Medicare Advantage offerings along with additional Life, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverages.
• Foster personal connections through grassroots marketing, community outreach events, and in-home consultations.
• Generate self-initiated sales, achieve performance targets, and enhance Humana's market presence.
• Serve as a trusted resource and cultivate relationships within the local community.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team of 8–12 Medicare Sales Agents under the guidance of a Senior Manager and Regional Director.
• Participate in mandatory training sessions during the initial five weeks of employment.
• Conduct meetings with members through appointments and events, which may take place during evenings and weekends.
• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings.
• An active Health Insurance License is required or the ability to obtain one.
• Must reside in the designated territory covering Northern Cook and DuPage Counties, which includes areas like Naperville, Oak Brook, Bloomingdale, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, and nearby locations.
• Comfortable engaging in daily face-to-face interactions in potential members' homes and at community events.
• Experience interacting with the community through service, retail, organizations, volunteer activities, or local events.
• A valid state driver’s license is necessary.
• Personal vehicle liability insurance must meet at least 25/25/10 coverage limits or higher, depending on state regulations.
• Must be flexible to accommodate appointments and events that may occur in the evenings and on weekends.
• Mandatory attendance is required during the initial five weeks of employment.
• An active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance License is preferred.
• A background in selling Medicare products is preferred.
• Experience in public speaking or presenting to groups is preferred.
• A background in supporting Value Based Care organizations is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is preferred.
• An Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and an additional language, with fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in both languages, is preferred.
• Must complete the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test when communicating with members in a language other than English.
• Must have home internet with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
• A dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions is necessary to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
