This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Act as a subject matter expert in oncology and territory on behalf of AbbVie Medical Affairs
• Provide scientific and technical guidance while fostering relationships with healthcare professionals and external experts
• Serve as the Medical Affairs liaison for external experts within a designated geographic region
• Create and implement scientific interaction plans along with cycle plans
• Contribute to cross-functional account planning while maintaining functional independence
• Tier and segment external experts, documenting interactions and insights of healthcare professionals in Veeva CRM and related systems
• Uphold AbbVie’s medical and scientific reputation in major academic institutions
• Facilitate research and educational projects while supporting requests for medical and scientific information
• Present scientific updates to sales, marketing, and Affiliate Brand Team members
• Collaborate cross-functionally with field team members
• Cultivate therapy advocates through ongoing scientific engagement
• Assist in the initiation, management, and follow-up of GMA studies and medical projects
• Support prioritized interventional studies with initiation visits and subject matter expertise
• Facilitate ideas for investigator-initiated studies and support related requests
• Deliver scientific presentations to physicians, both individually and in groups
• Attend pertinent scientific meetings and conferences
• Prepare summaries of key data and scientifically significant information aligned with strategic priorities
• Assist with named-patient or compassionate-use access requests as needed
• Provide scientific and technical assistance for publications
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and best practice standards
• Preference for candidates holding an MBBS or MD
• Candidates with an undergraduate degree and relevant years of experience in oncology may be considered
• MDS/BDS/Pharm. D graduates with a minimum of 4 years experience as an MSL in the oncology therapy area will be considered
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape and the function of Medical Affairs
• Proven expertise in applying scientific methods to clinical research is a plus
• Familiarity with current legislative and regulatory standards relevant to clinical research is advantageous
• Ability to thoroughly learn new subject areas and environments
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Capability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with thought leaders, physicians, and healthcare decision-makers
• Strong commitment to compliance with applicable rules and procedures, scientific quality, and integrity
