This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Act as the subject matter expert for Oncology within AbbVie Medical Affairs in the designated territory.
• Provide scientific and technical guidance while fostering professional relationships with external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Serve as the main point of contact for external experts in the assigned geographic region within Medical Affairs.
• Create and implement scientific interaction plans and cycle plans.
• Participate in cross-functional account planning while maintaining operational independence.
• Classify and segment external experts, documenting interactions and insights of healthcare professionals in Veeva CRM and related systems.
• Promote research and educational initiatives at leading academic centers.
• Assist with requests for medical and scientific information.
• Present scientific updates to internal sales, marketing, and Affiliate Brand Team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional in-field teams.
• Build therapy advocates through ongoing scientific engagement.
• Initiate, manage, and follow up on GMA studies and medical projects.
• Provide support for prioritized interventional studies, including study initiation visits and subject-matter expertise.
• Encourage investigator-initiated study proposals and assist with requests.
• Deliver scientific presentations to physicians, both individually and in groups.
• Attend pertinent scientific meetings and conferences.
• Summarize key data and relevant scientific information.
• Assist physicians with named-patient or compassionate-use access requests when necessary.
• Offer scientific and technical support for medical or scientific publications.
• Ensure all activities adhere to applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and best practice standards.
• Preferably candidates with MBBS and MD qualifications.
• Applicants with an undergraduate degree and relevant experience in oncology may also be considered.
• MDS/BDS/Pharm. D graduates with a minimum of 4 years of experience as MSL in the oncology therapy area are eligible.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape and the role of Medical Affairs.
• Proven expertise in scientific methods applied to clinical research, along with knowledge of current legislative/regulatory controls, is a plus.
• Capability to thoroughly learn new subject areas and environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in developing and sustaining strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders, physicians, and other healthcare decision-makers.
• Strong dedication to compliance with applicable rules and procedures, as well as to scientific quality and integrity.
