This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Act as the Oncology subject matter expert for AbbVie Medical Affairs within the designated territory.
• Establish trustworthy and professional relationships with external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Function as the primary Medical Affairs contact for external experts in the assigned geographic area.
• Create and implement scientific interaction and cycle plans.
• Contribute to cross-functional account planning while maintaining functional independence.
• Tier and segment external experts while documenting interactions and insights from healthcare professionals in Veeva CRM and related systems.
• Uphold AbbVie’s medical and scientific presence in key academic institutions.
• Facilitate research and educational initiatives, supporting requests for medical and scientific information.
• Present scientific updates to sales, marketing, and Affiliate Brand Team members.
• Collaborate across functions with in-field team members.
• Cultivate therapy advocates through ongoing scientific engagement.
• Initiate, manage, and follow up on GMA studies and medical projects.
• Assist prioritized interventional studies through initiation visits and provide subject matter expertise.
• Support investigator-initiated study proposals and requests.
• Deliver scientific presentations to physicians and thought leaders.
• Attend pertinent scientific meetings and conferences.
• Summarize key data and scientifically relevant information aligned with AbbVie priorities.
• Assist with named-patient or compassionate-use access requests for AbbVie medications.
• Provide scientific and technical support for scientific and medical publications.
• Ensure all activities adhere to applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, policies, and standards.
• Preferably candidates with MBBS and MD qualifications.
• Candidates holding an undergraduate degree with relevant experience in oncology may also be considered.
• MDS/BDS/Pharm. D graduates with a minimum of 4 years of experience as an MSL in the oncology therapy area will be eligible.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape and the function of Medical Affairs is essential.
• Proven expertise in scientific methods applicable to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls is a plus.
• Capacity to thoroughly learn about new subject areas and environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders, physicians, and healthcare decision-makers.
• Strong dedication to compliance with relevant regulations and procedures, as well as to scientific quality and integrity.
