Medical Science Liaison – Hemato-Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Deliver unbiased, fair, and scientifically accurate information and educational resources to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.

• Keep abreast of the latest trends in the scientific and treatment landscape within hemato-oncology.

• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals, medical thought leaders, key opinion leaders, investigators, and academic institutions.

• Identify and engage with key stakeholders across various European nations.

• Facilitate engagement with thought leaders and collect competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making.

• Assist in advancing clinical trials in AML and MF by identifying clinical trial sites and collaborating with investigators to boost patient enrollment.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for investigators interested in both company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research.

• Represent the organization at scientific conferences and professional society gatherings.

• Deliver clinical presentations and address unsolicited requests for scientific information.

• Develop and implement territory strategies in alignment with both regional and national objectives.

• Collect insights from key opinion leaders and relay them to support clinical and commercial strategies.

• Assist in local tactical initiatives, market landscape assessments, competitive intelligence, and the identification of therapeutic trends and unmet needs.

• Complete assigned tasks, documentation, milestones, and required training.

• Contribute to the development and execution of MSL clinical education and scientific initiatives.

• Provide mentorship to peers and support cross-functional efforts.

• Record field-based activities and supply updates on special projects.

• Travel approximately 50-60% of the time, including overnight stays as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in a clinical specialty (MD, PhD, PharmD) is preferred, along with prior experience as a hemato-oncology medical science liaison (MSL).

• Candidates with comparable experience in relevant disciplines will also be considered.

• Prior experience in industry medical affairs is mandatory, ideally in MSL or a medical affairs role based at headquarters.

• Proven ability to effectively present clinical and scientific information is required.

• In-depth knowledge of the healthcare delivery system and its effects on patient care and regional medical practices.

• Familiarity with clinical trial design, execution, and assessment.

• Demonstrated experience in advancing clinical trials as a field-based team member, with a strong track record of engaging investigators and driving recruitment.

• Experience as an international MSL with responsibilities spanning multiple countries is advantageous.

• Capability to connect and collaborate with a diverse range of individuals to achieve desired outcomes.

• Proficient in organizing and prioritizing personal work schedules and territory management.

• Ability to make decisions that significantly influence the department’s credibility, operations, and services.

• Competence in creating materials such as reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences, and the ability to present and speak to groups.

• Proficiency in English is essential, with fluency in the local language being required.

• Approximately 50-60% travel is expected, including overnight trips as necessary.

• Must adhere to applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
