This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead country medical initiatives in accordance with regional strategies and the Global Medical Plan.
• Manage relationships with medical scientific stakeholders and enhance patient value through engagement, medical and scientific projects, and scientific communications.
• Establish and nurture connections with KOLs, scientific experts, and other medical scientific stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, prepare, and present medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific communications.
• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Assist the country Global Brand team in formulating local medical tactics and provide insights to headquarters and regional plans.
• Organize and arrange scientific advisory boards.
• Support local and regional medical and scientific endeavors.
• Offer medical and scientific input during Business Development Due Diligence activities.
• Supply local medical insights and contributions to head-office-led medical programs prior to launches.
• Oversee Investigator Sponsored Studies and assist with local studies.
• Manage medical information inquiries alongside the Medical Advisor/Senior Medical Advisor and headquarters in Stockholm.
• Participate in local, regional, and global congresses and symposia as a representative of Sobi.
• Advocate for scientific interests in both internal and external forums and interact with KOLs at hospitals and NGOs.
• Cultivate relationships with scientific societies and central decision-makers.
• Provide medical guidance on relevant medical matters, including legal and compliance issues.
• Stay updated on the therapeutic area, emerging trends, evidence, and product advancements.
• A recognized doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science field (Pharm.D., D.Sc., D.N.P., Ph.D., or M.D./D.O.).
• Candidates with an advanced health degree coupled with significant industry or clinical experience will also be considered.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
• Capability to comprehend, interpret, and convey scientific information effectively.
• Proven success in developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
• Strong history of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and sound decision-making.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the capability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, cultivate, and maintain significant relationships within the medical and scientific community.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to foster positive, constructive relationships with colleagues across functions.
• High personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
• Experience in relevant clinical practice is a plus.
• Solid understanding of the highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
• Basic knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework pertinent to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
