This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the territories of North and South Carolina.
• Build and nurture relationships with community and academic opinion leaders/KOLs.
• Facilitate high-quality, two-way scientific dialogues with healthcare professionals.
• Gather, synthesize, and apply clinical, scientific, competitive, and territorial data.
• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Present customized scientific information through discussions and presentations.
• Identify challenges or unmet needs and suggest evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.
• Gather and submit actionable insights to guide medical strategies and cross-functional conversations.
• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding Johnson & Johnson products and research.
• Assist investigators and internal partners with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams.
• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions.
• Gain an understanding of regulatory, compliance, ethical conduct, and Medical Affairs SOP requirements.
• Develop a performance and development plan alongside the Field Director.
• Accurately and compliantly fulfill administrative duties, activity documentation, and expense reporting.
• A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience is required (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers).
• Postgraduate experience is mandatory for Doctoral level candidates.
• Extensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is essential.
• Knowledge of research and/or healthcare systems is required.
• Proficient in data gathering and analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape evaluation.
• Must be able to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel.
• A valid US Driver’s License is necessary.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in an MSL role.
• Preferably, 2+ years of experience in a therapeutic area.
• Residency/fellowship is preferred.
• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.
• A demonstrated commitment to learning about emerging technologies, including AI.
