This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the North and South Carolina regions.
• Build and nurture relationships with community and academic thought leaders/KOLs.
• Facilitate high-quality, interactive, and non-promotional scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals.
• Gather, synthesize, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and regional information.
• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Present scientific data customized to the needs of healthcare professionals through discussions and presentations.
• Identify challenges or unmet needs, proposing evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.
• Gather and submit actionable insights to guide medical strategy and cross-functional conversations.
• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding Johnson & Johnson products and research.
• Assist investigators and internal partners with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
• Work collaboratively with MSL field partners, R&D, U.S. and Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
• Keep scientific knowledge current through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions.
• Promote inclusivity and belonging both internally and externally.
• Stay informed about regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, Medical Affairs SOPs, and guidelines.
• Develop and execute a performance and development plan in conjunction with the Field Director.
• Accurately and compliantly complete administrative documentation and expense reporting.
• A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers).
• Postgraduate experience is necessary for Doctoral level candidates.
• Comprehensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is required.
• Familiarity with research and/or healthcare systems is essential.
• Expertise in data gathering and analysis, clinical skills, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape assessment.
• Capability to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel.
• A valid US Driver’s License is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in the therapeutic area (preferred).
• Residency/fellowship is preferred.
• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.
• Proven dedication to learning and utilizing emerging technologies such as AI.
• Up to 70% travel within the territory and for internal meetings and congresses.
