Medical Physicist – Radiation Oncology Clinic

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver extensive clinical physics support for photon and/or proton therapy services.

• Assist with daily treatment operations, image guidance, treatment planning, and verification processes.

• Conduct plan reviews, perform secondary and independent dose calculations, execute patient-specific and routine quality assurance, and carry out thorough chart reviews.

• Commission, calibrate, and ensure ongoing quality assurance of treatment planning systems, delivery units, and imaging systems.

• Create, maintain, and enhance QA programs in alignment with AAPM, regulatory, and institutional standards.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, dosimetrists, therapists, engineers, and staff to address clinical and technical challenges.

• Ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical workflows.

• Assist in the clinical implementation and optimization of advanced technologies, including SRS/SBRT, proton therapy, surface-guided radiation therapy, motion management, dual-energy CT, and innovative treatment and imaging platforms.

• Engage in departmental and institutional committees, accreditation processes, quality initiatives, and program development efforts.

• Provide education and mentorship to residents, students, and staff.

• Contribute to professional growth, continuous improvement, operational excellence, translational clinical research, and departmental service.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or Master's in Physics or a related discipline.

• ABR Certification or Eligibility in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.

• Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

• Documentation of required licenses or certificates.

• Three professional references, including name, email, and business title.

• Resume.

• Subject to pre-employment screening, which may include criminal background checks, drug testing, and/or education verification.

• Capability to provide independent professional expertise in treatment planning, dose calculation, and quality assurance.

• Familiarity with applicable AAPM, regulatory, and institutional standards.

• Preferred: PhD.

• Preferred: Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency Program.

• Preferred knowledge of Eclipse, Brainlab, Oncentra, CRAD Surface imager, proton therapy, Proteus One, Ethos-based adaptive planning, ARIA, MIMVista, and RadCalc.
