Medical Imaging Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Provide service for Medical Imaging Equipment within the Kansas City, MO region.

• Install, service, maintain, and modify Siemens imaging equipment at customer locations.

• Act as the customer-facing representative, embodying the "Face of Siemens."

• Support various diagnostic modalities, with opportunities for cross-training in additional modalities.

• Adapt to different shifts and participate in on-call rotations as required by business needs.

• Work overtime as necessary, with prior notification for shift adjustments.

• Build and sustain professional relationships with customers and colleagues.

• Complete essential administrative tasks accurately and punctually.

• Report directly to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma; a technical Associates Degree or equivalent is preferred.

• Skilled in utilizing tools and service test equipment.

• Capability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.

• Proficient in necessary networking applications and tools, such as eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, and the NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools.

• Ability to find, read, and comprehend installation, setup, repair, troubleshooting, schematic, block diagram, and functional description documents.

• 3-5+ years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Capable of driving independently during both day and night with a good driving record.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.

• Competent in performing walking, climbing ladders/stepstools, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, high-reaching, and fine-grasping tasks.

• Good vision and the ability to work independently.

• Must hold a valid driver's license in the state of residence.

• No previous DUI/DWI convictions, pending charges, or other serious moving violations unless restricted by state/local law.

• Ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control regulations.
