This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver Technical Advisory Services for the commissioning and warranty support of solar PV inverters and related electrical systems.
• Commission solar PV inverters based on project specifications.
• Collect information to evaluate project requirements within the designated scope.
• Adhere to Company commissioning procedures and checklists.
• Diagnose, rectify, and document issues encountered during commissioning or warranty support.
• Revise drawings and project documentation to reflect "as installed" conditions.
• Lead specific components of client Final Acceptance Tests.
• Participate in factory witness tests.
• Collaborate with vendors to address testing challenges.
• Educate clients on system maintenance and operational procedures.
• Train field service staff on Company processes and product solutions as necessary.
• Identify site-specific opportunities and propose solutions to management.
• Provide updates on commissioning status and testing reports.
• Maintain safety qualifications and adhere to both Company and client safety standards.
• Oversee site schedules and coordinate personnel, escalating issues as needed.
• Ensure that assigned safety equipment is accessible and operational.
• Complete designated tasks, inform managers, and alert them to any delivery issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
• Follow Company policies, procedures, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Suggest enhancements and ensure the effective utilization of business tools and processes.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in commissioning and servicing power distribution, power electronic, and rotating machine products.
• Proven presentation abilities.
• Capability to work in outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in standing for extended periods on hard surfaces.
• Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, approximately 75% of the time, sometimes with little notice.
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and both internal and external contacts.
• Proven personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Evidence of continuous improvement in areas of responsibility.
• Proficient in MS Office, software programming languages, and simulation tools.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent through education and/or work experience.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience in commissioning power distribution, power electronic, and rotating machine products.
• Preferred: Proven experience with Utility Scale Solar PV Inverters.
• Preferred: Familiarity with TMEIC engineering tools and product configuration tools.
• Preferred: Established successful relationships with foreign parent or subsidiary companies.
• Preferred: Demonstrated success in coordinating others' work to achieve assigned objectives.
