This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Evaluate healthcare provider data, claims, utilization, and third-party information to uncover performance trends, cost-saving opportunities, and possible deviations in payments or contracts.
• Analyze measure definitions and methodologies concerning provider performance, medical procedures, diagnoses, and utilization trends.
• Create and propose KPIs, performance metrics, trend analyses, and dashboard concepts that deliver actionable insights for the business.
• Assist in the analysis of provider contract repricing by juxtaposing contracted claim payments with benchmarks from Medicare, Medicaid, state, or CMS.
• Contribute to the design, testing, and improvement of PowerBi dashboards.
• Prepare and deliver project updates, analytical results, and recommendations to the leadership team.
• Acquire knowledge of different job functions within the Managed Care sector while exploring various career paths.
• Utilize academic insights and develop new skills by participating in diverse projects.
• Investigate legal, regulatory, and other relevant topics within the functional area and industry.
• Participate in training and development sessions to boost professional competencies.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university throughout the internship period.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferably pursuing a degree in a field related to the hiring department.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is necessary.
• Preferred knowledge of statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques, including basic data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Preferred understanding of contemporary business intelligence and visualization tools.
