Medical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct teleconsultations via the Arogyapath 2.0 WhatsApp platform.

• Review patient registration information, symptoms, medical history, and available clinical data.

• Assess patients within the boundaries and constraints of telemedicine.

• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients.

• Diagnose and manage common medical ailments within the professional scope.

• Review vital signs, reports, images, and other patient-related information.

• Prescribe medications, tests, or treatments when clinically suitable and legally allowable.

• Provide details on medication, dosage, duration, precautions, and follow-up guidance.

• Educate patients about preventive healthcare and healthy living practices.

• Identify critical signs and recommend emergency care or hospital referrals when necessary.

• Refer patients to suitable specialists and offer follow-up suggestions.

• Maintain precise and thorough electronic consultation records.

• Document complaints, history, assessments, diagnoses, treatments, investigations, referrals, and follow-ups.

• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.

• Review follow-up cases, monitor ongoing care patients, and escalate deteriorating conditions.

• Adhere to clinical protocols, SOPs, telemedicine guidelines, and standards for prescriptions and documentation.

• Engage in clinical audits, quality assessments, and case discussions.

• Report any clinical, technical, or patient safety incidents.

• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the WhatsApp consultation pathway.

⛳️ Requirements

• MBBS degree from an accredited medical institution.

• Valid medical registration with the relevant medical council or authority.

• 1-5 years of experience in General Practice or Primary Care is preferred.

• Prior experience in telemedicine or digital healthcare is advantageous.

• Experience in managing patients through digital healthcare platforms is preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent typing and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to convey medical information in a straightforward, patient-friendly manner.

• Good digital literacy.

• Strong documentation abilities.

• Patient-centered mindset.

• Ability to identify clinical red flags.

• Strong judgment in referrals and escalations.
