Medical Billing Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge of new client systems and effectively share this expertise with team members.

• Oversee the assigned team, ensuring that deliverables are submitted accurately and on time.

• Mentor team members and enhance their skill sets.

• Support the Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager in guiding the team towards achieving company objectives.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Resolve conflicts that arise within the team.

• Prepare precise medical insurance claims and guarantee their prompt submission.

• Address claim denials through resubmissions or appeals.

• Develop and implement strategies aimed at reducing claim denials.

• Understand and apply specialty-, state-, and carrier-specific billing requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate of any allied medical course (Nursing, PT, MedTech, etc.) is preferred but not mandatory.

• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in medical billing, ideally with US healthcare accounts.

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a medical billing team is preferred.

• Strong understanding of medical insurance claims processing, including submissions, denials, and appeals.

• Experience in analyzing and resolving claim denials and implementing strategies to minimize them.

• Excellent coaching, mentoring, and team management capabilities.

• Ability to track team performance and ensure timely and accurate submission of deliverables.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Exceptional communication and coordination skills.

• Must be able to work from home with a reliable internet connection and a backup option.
