Billing Specialist – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for financial assistance payers to address claims issues and oversee open workflows.

• Work closely with client business offices to gather documentation necessary for claim approvals.

• Ensure precise payment posting, which includes handling virtual debit cards and checks.

• Address payment discrepancies and guarantee appropriate claim routing.

• Assist external partners with intricate patient cases that require advanced billing expertise.

• Review and update assigned tasks, including their status, ownership, and notes within AssistPoint and client systems.

• Follow up on claims submitted to patient assistance programs and keep track of claims aging reports.

• Enroll patients in assistance programs and submit claims based on recognized opportunities.

• Enable secure communication with clients and internal team members to resolve claim-related matters.

• Address inbound client inquiries regarding claims management.

• Discuss the health and progression of the claim queue with leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in physician or medical billing (IV infusion billing is preferred).

• Familiarity with billing systems such as GE Centricity, Unlimited Systems, or Epic.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong and confident communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for various stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Tech-savvy and capable of adapting to various systems and workflow platforms.

• Experience in oncology or specialty billing is an advantage.
