This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Assist in and support efforts related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, process, and utility engineering.
β’ Carry out engineering and design tasks to guarantee the delivery of high-quality products.
β’ Foster team development by guiding and mentoring staff members.
β’ Utilize design criteria based on project specifics, codes, standards, and professional expertise.
β’ Analyze scopes of work, bases of design, field surveys, and conduct code research.
β’ Act as the engineer of record from the conceptual phase through the creation of construction documents and the administration of construction.
β’ Provide daily direction and mentorship to junior staff.
β’ Design layouts for distribution systems and equipment locations in collaboration with discipline and project teams.
β’ Execute system calculations and select and size system components.
β’ Review shop drawing submissions.
β’ Travel to job sites for field verification purposes.
β’ Write BOD narratives, design criteria documentation, engineering reports, and various other technical documents.
β’ Revise design specifications and address RFIs utilizing project documents, specifications, shop drawings, and design criteria.
β’ Take meeting notes, review project correspondence, and keep project design files organized.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
β’ At least 2 years of experience (post-degree) in an MEP Engineering Firm or an AE Firm.
β’ Professional Engineering (PE) License (EIT will be considered).
β’ Current/Active NCEES registration in good standing.
β’ Proficient in REVIT software.
β’ Experience with Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, or eQuest software.
β’ Strong expertise in fire protection, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and utility systems.
β’ Ability to integrate personal judgment with project information and knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
β’ Familiarity with hydronic systems is an advantage.
β’ Experience in healthcare facilities and central plant infrastructure is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Psychrometric Chart, Ductulator, and Pipe Flow tools.
β’ Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of Creo Parametric is a plus.
β’ Strong oral and written communication skills.
β’ Willingness and capability to work remotely.
