This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop, uphold, and regulate Material Master records within SAP.
• Oversee hazardous material classifications and the related compliance data.
• Examine and sustain SDS/MSDS documentation for regulated materials.
• Ensure that material master data aligns with transportation, storage, handling, and reporting mandates for hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with Engineering, EHS, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality teams to confirm product information.
• Assist in the creation of material masters for new products, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory standards such as OSHA, GHS, DOT, WHMIS, REACH, and other regional regulations as necessary.
• Conduct data audits to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of material records.
• Aid in the execution of material governance standards and best practices for master data.
• Support activities related to material lifecycle management, including new material requests, modifications, and discontinuations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address issues concerning material data quality.
• Produce reports and perform analyses regarding material master and hazardous material compliance activities.
• Over 7 years of experience in managing Material Master data in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, life sciences, or a related field.
• Practical experience with Hazardous Materials (HazMat) programs.
• Proficient in managing SDS/MSDS documentation and chemical compliance requirements.
• Strong grasp of material classification and product data management processes.
• Experience using SAP as a business user focusing on Material Master activities.
• Knowledge of requirements for hazardous material transportation, storage, labeling, and handling.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, EHS, Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Product Stewardship or Product Compliance functions.
• Familiarity with SAP EHS, SAP Product Compliance, or SAP EHSM.
• Experience working in S/4HANA environments.
• Understanding of global regulatory frameworks, including OSHA Hazard Communication, GHS, REACH, and DOT requirements.
• Experience with master data governance programs and data quality initiatives.
