This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and oversee event timelines, budgets, vendor communications, speaker and presenter arrangements, as well as internal and external briefs.
• Coordinate logistics for tradeshows and field events, which includes booth setup, shipping, staffing schedules, signage, promotional materials, and onsite troubleshooting.
• Act as a representative for DNAnexus during events.
• Manage webinar programs comprehensively, including platform setup, speaker coordination, agenda management, promotion, moderation, and follow-up after the event.
• Establish and conduct quality assurance for lead capture at all events and webinars, ensuring leads are accurately tagged and integrated into the CRM within hours of event conclusion.
• Identify target events and speaking opportunities, monitor submission deadlines, and assist with abstract drafts.
• Leverage AI tools to create event copy, briefs, and follow-up emails, summarize post-event notes, and expedite reporting processes.
• Regularly report on webinar registrations, attendance, sourced leads, CPR, ROI, and growth in leads and opportunities.
• Identify underperformance early and suggest corrective measures.
• 3–5 years of experience in event marketing, campaign coordination, or a similar marketing role.
• Daily hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for writing, research, or workflow tasks.
• Ability to articulate precisely how AI tools are utilized.
• Experience with webinar platforms like Zoom Webinar, ON24, or WorkCast.
• Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM systems such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Skill in transforming a vague request into a structured plan without needing every detail specified.
• Capacity to drive cross-functional collaboration among marketing, sales, customer success, product, and solution experts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear briefs, recap emails, and event copy that require minimal editing.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% of the time, including some evenings and weekends around event dates.
• Nice-to-have: experience in life sciences, biotech, genomics, or a related technical field.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Monday, or Basecamp.
• Nice-to-have: experience with no-code automation tools like Zapier or Make.
• Nice-to-have: basic knowledge of Canva, Figma, or AI image/video generation tools for creating event assets.
