This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in promoting state stewardship awareness and educational initiatives related to battery recycling laws, new program launches, and ongoing program obligations.
• Manage state-specific communications across various channels, including digital platforms, social media, email, websites, retailers, community outreach, and partner communications.
• Help in the creation and distribution of flyers, signage, toolkits, presentations, FAQs, newsletters, and digital resources.
• Facilitate consumer education regarding safe battery handling and recycling practices, participation in collection efforts, and state-specific program details.
• Aid in the marketing execution for the launch of new state stewardship programs and continuous education and outreach activities.
• Monitor campaign timelines, deliverables, approvals, communication milestones, and reporting deadlines.
• Maintain stewardship marketing calendars for state launches, campaigns, events, partner communications, and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with Stewardship, Operations, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate efforts with external agencies, vendors, and partners.
• Ensure that communications adhere to approved program language, state regulations, and brand standards.
• Oversee reviews and perform proofreading, formatting, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintain stewardship marketing assets, templates, educational materials, and digital libraries.
• Monitor campaign and outreach metrics, including engagement levels, website traffic, collection locator searches, QR code scans, email effectiveness, and outreach participation.
• Gather, organize, and validate marketing and outreach data for state program evaluations and reports.
• Prepare campaign summaries, reporting overviews, and performance updates.
• Collect performance insights and recommendations in collaboration with agency and digital teams.
• Support stewardship-related events, collection initiatives, webinars, trade shows, and partner outreach.
• Coordinate event materials, logistics, signage, promotional items, presentations, educational resources, outreach activities, and follow-up communications.
• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, campaign coordination, program outreach, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proven experience in utilizing data and performance metrics to inform marketing decisions, campaign reporting, or program enhancements.
• Experience in managing multiple projects, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables in a dynamic environment.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for The Battery Network, with or without sponsorship.
• Previous experience supporting multi-state campaigns, public education initiatives, or program launches is preferred.
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing platforms, Google Analytics, WordPress, HubSpot, ClickDimensions, Airtable, or similar systems is preferred.
• Experience in supporting SEO, SEM, social media, webinars, trade shows, or community outreach initiatives is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proofreading capabilities, and quality assurance expertise.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks, adapt to shifting requirements, and meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
• Capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, agencies, vendors, retailers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and a willingness to learn new marketing, project management, and reporting tools.
• Understanding of digital, email, social media, website, and partner communication channels.
• Ability to compile, organize, and analyze campaign and outreach data for reporting purposes.
• Interest in battery safety, recycling, circular economy, and environmental stewardship.
