This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.
• Identify and assess opportunities for growth within the Automation, Manufacturing, ConFab, and Light Industries sectors.
• Spearhead market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Evaluate customer needs, market trends, and potential emerging opportunities.
• Execute customer interviews, site evaluations, market research, and competitive assessments.
• Analyze opportunities, create business cases, and deliver strategic recommendations.
• Collect and convert market intelligence into actionable business insights.
• Track customer, competitor, industry, technology, and channel trends.
• Integrate market research with sales, profitability, and channel-performance metrics.
• Guide segment strategies, product roadmaps, and long-term planning initiatives.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing ITW Toolbox growth.
• Enhance pricing strategies, market share, channel performance, and go-to-market effectiveness.
• Facilitate process improvements and establish best practices within the organization.
• Define success metrics, monitor outcomes, and disseminate insights gained.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Operations, Marketing, end users, and other ITW Welding divisions.
• Assist in making business decisions, setting investment priorities, and achieving division growth goals.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of seven years of experience in strategic marketing, market research, product management, business development, or a similar position.
• Prior experience in B2B markets is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in market validation, segment strategy, or entering new markets.
• Familiarity with primary research, market sizing, competitive analysis, and business case development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the United States, Canada, and internationally.
• Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
• Competence in working with both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Ability to distill complex findings into straightforward recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capability to build relationships across various functions.
• Organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in uncertain environments.
• A sense of curiosity, sound judgment, and a collaborative spirit.
• An MBA or an equivalent master's degree is advantageous.
• Experience with industrial products, welding, automation, or distribution channels is a plus.
