This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead business development and sales efforts within the Small Business and Branch Banking sector, catering to companies with annual revenues below $2.5 million.
• Establish new business connections and enhance profitability from existing client accounts.
• Create and sustain a robust pipeline through self-directed prospecting and collaboration with Business Banking Specialists and branch team members.
• Recognize sales opportunities driven by client requirements, market trends, and the organization's products and services.
• Conduct consultative sales presentations to both current and prospective clients.
• Clearly communicate the value and benefits of payment solutions tailored to meet business requirements.
• Develop and uphold an effective referral network and calling program.
• Identify, cultivate, and oversee a sales pipeline focused on businesses with annual revenues under $2.5 million.
• Implement merchant sales strategies within the Small Business sector.
• Design and execute sales campaigns aimed at driving growth.
• Provide consistent activity reports and progress updates to leadership.
• Foster, expand, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and bank partners.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Three to five years of pertinent sales experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• 5-8 years of sales experience, ideally in payments or merchant services.
• Understanding of payment processing products, services, and industry standards.
• Bilingual ability to read, write, and speak English and at least one other language.
• Demonstrated experience in business development, marketing, sales, and contract negotiations.
• Strong sales instincts with a proven capability to build, manage, and advance a sales pipeline.
• Ability to identify, escalate, and effectively resolve client issues in a creative manner.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to follow-up and relationship management.
• Experience in merchant services sales is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related technologies is preferred.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems for opportunity management and sales activity tracking.
• A collaborative team player with excellent relationship-building and partnership skills.
• Demonstrated success with a high degree of motivation, integrity, competitiveness, and professionalism.
• Candidates must be able to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics, Business Conduct, and related workplace conduct and safety guidelines.
• Certain roles may require compliance with FINRA, NMLS registration, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, the NFA, the FCPA, the Bank Secrecy Act, the SAFE Act, and/or relevant federal regulations.
