Market Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the operations of 12–20 express carwash locations within the designated market.

• Establish performance expectations, track results, and implement enhancements to performance.

• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, and customer service benchmarks at each location.

• Directly supervise sites and manage operations across the entire market.

• Take ownership of the complete market P&L, encompassing revenue, labor costs, operational expenses, and profitability.

• Analyze financial outcomes and spearhead action plans aimed at boosting sales, controlling costs, and enhancing profit margins.

• Aid in the growth of memberships and local marketing efforts.

• Recruit, train, mentor, and lead Site Managers, Market Managers, Maintenance Leaders, and Market Trainers.

• Foster a constructive, safe, and productive environment that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and excellent service.

• Supervise maintenance effectiveness, repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment management, chemical usage, and facility standards.

• Ensure uniform customer service and address customer issues effectively.

• Conduct market inspections to assess operations, cleanliness, safety, and team performance.

• Guarantee compliance with safety, environmental, equipment-handling, and chemical management regulations.

• Review key performance indicators (KPIs), offer feedback, and promote accountability and continuous improvement.

• Prepare and deliver market performance reports to regional or corporate leadership.

• Manage operational decisions at the market level, including P&L oversight, staffing strategies, maintenance performance, and leadership choices.

• Influence capital planning, pricing modifications, and strategic operational initiatives.

• Address significant capital requirements, prolonged closures, and critical operational risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in multi-unit environments such as carwash, retail, service, or similar operational fields.

• Proven track record in managing P&Ls and enhancing financial performance.

• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities at scale.

• Willingness to travel daily across multiple locations.

• Preferred experience in mechanical, industrial, or equipment-based operations.

• Capability to stand for extended periods and walk through sites on a daily basis.

• Ability to lift weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds as needed during site visits.

• Willingness to work outdoors year-round, regardless of varying weather conditions.

• Flexible schedule accommodating some weekends or evenings based on business requirements.
