Market Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete operations of 12–20 express carwash locations within the market.

• Establish objectives, track results, and promote performance enhancements.

• Ensure compliance with operational protocols, safety measures, and customer service expectations at all sites.

• Directly manage locations and supervise operations across the entire market.

• Take ownership of the market's P&L, encompassing revenue, labor costs, operational expenses, and overall profitability.

• Analyze financial outcomes and implement action plans to boost sales, control costs, and enhance profit margins.

• Support the growth of memberships and spearhead local marketing efforts.

• Mentor and develop Site Managers, Market Managers, Maintenance Leaders, and Market Trainers.

• Recruit, train, and guide leadership personnel.

• Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment.

• Monitor maintenance performance, repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment care, chemical usage, and facility conditions.

• Ensure swift, friendly, and consistent customer service delivery.

• Assist in resolving customer issues and oversee wash quality standards.

• Conduct regular market inspections focused on operations, cleanliness, safety, and team performance.

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, equipment handling protocols, and chemical management practices.

• Review key performance indicators, enforce accountability, provide feedback, and endorse continuous improvement initiatives.

• Prepare and present updates on market performance to regional or corporate leadership.

• Own operational decisions at the market level, including P&L management, staffing strategies, maintenance performance, and leadership choices.

• Influence capital planning, pricing modifications, and strategic operational projects.

• Raise alerts regarding significant capital requirements, extended closures, and major operational risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit leadership experience in carwash, retail, service, or similar operational environments.

• Proven track record in managing and owning P&Ls while driving financial performance.

• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities on a large scale.

• Willingness to travel daily to multiple locations.

• Preferred experience in mechanical, industrial, or equipment-based operations.

• Capability to stand for extended periods and walk through various sites daily.

• Ability to lift between 25–50 pounds when necessary during site visits.

• Willingness to work outdoors year-round, including in diverse weather conditions.

• Flexible scheduling, including availability for some weekends or evenings based on business requirements.
