This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Formulate business strategies with key channel partners, encompassing sales objectives, target accounts, potential OEMs, and significant trade area expansion.
• Enhance product sales and market presence in collaboration with channel partners.
• Initiate or discontinue partnerships as deemed necessary.
• Travel alongside channel partner personnel to provide training, emphasize product sales, and fortify relationships.
• Manage the large project pipeline with channel coordination and regular updates.
• Support Marketing in identifying new markets and product prospects.
• Aid channel partners in product selection through computer sizing and selection tools.
• Keep management informed about competitive activities.
• Identify potential end customers, residential dealers, distribution partners, OEMs, and design engineering firms.
• Participate in trade shows and related events to broaden market and industry knowledge.
• Collaborate with sales leadership, distributors, representatives, design engineers, OEMs, dealers, end users, customer service, product management, and marketing teams.
• Propel sales growth and market infiltration for Goulds Water Technology pumps, motors, and monitoring and control solutions throughout Northeast markets.
• Bachelor's Degree required; a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or the Sciences is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in field technical sales.
• Experience in channel management is essential.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of consultative/value-based selling.
• Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.
• Proficiency in computer and business software, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in outside sales, including travel and technical sales within the pump industry, particularly in industrial and/or municipal markets is preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50%, including necessary overnight stays.
• Must be able to occasionally lift/transport up to 25 pounds.
