Market Data Ops Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Define, implement, and execute standard operating procedures for the market data operations of Numerix clients.

• Conduct daily monitoring and verification of market data deliveries, which includes scheduled intraday and end-of-day snapshots for various clients, by checking runs, batch processes, and data feeds to ensure operational integrity and SLA compliance.

• Improve existing processes by optimizing and automating manual checks.

• Address operational support requests related to market data inquiries from both clients and internal teams.

• Monitor, triage, and resolve technical and data quality issues associated with Numerix data feeds, escalating issues as necessary.

• Interact with vendors concerning market data availability, delivery, or quality issues.

• Coordinate NXDM releases and production patch deployments with clients.

• Assist development teams in executing and validating parallel runs.

• Serve as Incident Manager for market data incidents, leading post-mortem reviews and root cause analyses.

• Support Numerix clients with any API-platform market data issues and inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from a prominent engineering university or equivalent professional experience.

• Solid experience in Python for ad-hoc data analysis and automation of manual processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; practical knowledge of SQL is advantageous for this role.

• Comprehension of exchange-traded and OTC derivatives (e.g., forwards, futures, options) across various asset classes, including interest rates, commodities, credit, equities, and foreign exchange.

• Familiarity with financial concepts such as volatility and beta is beneficial.

• Working knowledge of Cloud Services, particularly AWS (Step Functions, Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, etc.) is a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and effective English communication abilities.

• Availability to work in US shifts when required (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM MST).
