This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Promote a robust safety culture and ensure adherence to company, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Direct fleet-wide safety performance, incident prevention, corrective action initiatives, and ongoing improvement efforts.
• Hold accountability for solar fleet safety, availability, reliability, production, maintenance execution, compliance, and budget performance.
• Ensure all contractual, regulatory, and operational commitments are met.
• Set fleet performance goals and enhance asset reliability and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee operational readiness, emergency response, and business continuity operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a dispersed team of managers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Cultivate a high-performing organization through talent development, succession planning, workforce management, and performance evaluation.
• Enhance fleet-wide reliability and performance via data analysis, root cause investigation, standardization, and best-practice dissemination.
• Support the implementation of new technologies, predictive maintenance approaches, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Create and oversee fleet operating and maintenance budgets.
• Pursue cost optimization while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance standards are upheld.
• Assess and recommend capital investments, significant maintenance actions, life-cycle replacements, and strategic enhancement projects.
• Assist in business planning and provide operational insights for long-term asset strategies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize asset value.
• Deliver fleet performance reports, strategic recommendations, and operational updates to executive leadership.
• Aid in acquisitions, integrations, new asset onboarding, and other strategic initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field is required; equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirements.
• MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in power generation operations, including substantial utility-scale solar experience.
• More than 7 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing multi-site operations and teams.
• At least 5 years of experience leading an organization through subordinate managers across a wide geographic area.
• Proven track record of fostering strong safety cultures and developing high-performing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of solar operations, maintenance, reliability, budgeting, compliance, and contractor management.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance operational performance through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Strong business insight with the capability to balance operational priorities and financial goals.
• High proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, and possess both near and far vision capabilities.
• Competence to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable MVR history.
• Willingness to travel regularly, up to 45% of the time.
• Authorization to work full-time in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.
