This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Propel revenue growth and expand market presence within the maritime and subsea sectors.
• Discover new business opportunities while establishing and nurturing strategic customer relationships.
• Finalize sales of high-performance interconnect solutions and engineered components.
• Formulate and implement a territory sales strategy for the designated geographic area and/or market segment.
• Take ownership of sales targets, revenue objectives, and activity metrics for the territory.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key customer decision-makers and influencers.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business with shipbuilders, subsea contractors, system integrators, and OEMs.
• Enhance existing accounts and pinpoint cross-selling opportunities.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract closure and order fulfillment.
• Conduct market research and competitive assessments.
• Generate leads through industry contacts, trade shows, and online investigations.
• Monitor developments in the maritime and subsea industries, regulatory changes, and customer priorities.
• Represent FEC at conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
• Identify and assess strategic partners, integrators, and channel opportunities.
• Gather voice-of-customer insights for product development and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to create tailored solutions.
• Support bids and proposals by providing technical specifications, application guidance, and pricing recommendations.
• Convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Transform customer requirements into viable technical solutions.
• Assist with pre-sale and post-sale technical discussions.
• Maintain CRM records and monitor pipeline, forecasts, and customer interactions.
• Deliver monthly sales reports detailing pipeline activity, revenue performance, and quota achievement.
• Prepare expense reports, travel itineraries, and necessary documentation.
• Undertake other assigned responsibilities, initiatives, and ad-hoc projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Marine Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent technical sales experience and proven market knowledge may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Over 5 years of outside sales experience in technical or engineered products.
• Experience is preferably in interconnect systems, cable assemblies, or marine/subsea equipment.
• Demonstrated success in territory development, customer acquisition, and account management.
• Experience selling to maritime, subsea, naval, oil and gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of customer procurement cycles and complex sales environments.
• Working knowledge of interconnect, connector, and cable assembly products and their applications.
• Familiarity with maritime industry standards, subsea equipment requirements, and operational environments.
• Knowledge of IMCA, DNV, ABS, and relevant ISO standards.
• Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for technical, operational, and executive audiences.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to grasp technical specifications and convert customer needs into solutions.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with independent territory management.
• Willingness to travel extensively, about 30–40%, including occasional international travel.
• Capability to navigate industrial settings and work on or near marine vessels.
