This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Design and develop high-speed, wideband ADCs and DACs for challenging RF and mixed-signal applications.
β’ Lead the selection of converter architectures and conduct trade studies that balance bandwidth, sampling rate, resolution/ENOB, linearity, power, area, and implementation risk.
β’ Create wideband analog front-ends, which include ADC input networks, track-and-hold/sampling circuits, DAC output stages, references, biasing, clocking, and calibration circuitry.
β’ Develop high-performance circuits using advanced FinFET CMOS technologies.
β’ Manage designs from initial concept and behavioral modeling to transistor-level implementation, layout, verification, and silicon characterization.
β’ Create calibration and correction techniques while collaborating with DSP/systems engineers on mixed-signal algorithms.
β’ Define converter specifications and establish interfaces with systems, RF, digital, package, and verification teams.
β’ Oversee the integration of converters into complex mixed-signal SoCs, taking into account power, clocking, signal integrity, and physical implementation aspects.
β’ Establish methodologies for data-converter design, IP, simulation infrastructure, and best practices.
β’ Offer technical leadership and mentorship to engineers specializing in analog and mixed-signal design.
β’ MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, accompanied by substantial industry experience in high-performance analog/mixed-signal IC design.
β’ Extensive expertise in designing GHz-class and/or multi-GS/s ADCs and DACs.
β’ Strong grasp of SAR, pipeline, time-interleaved, flash/folding, current-steering DAC, and hybrid converter architectures.
β’ Capability to translate system requirements into converter architectures and circuit-level specifications.
β’ Significant experience with wideband analog/RF signal paths, sampling circuits, clocking, references, and low-noise/high-linearity circuit design.
β’ Familiarity with designing high-performance analog circuits in FinFET technologies.
β’ Solid understanding of converter impairments, which include jitter, noise, distortion, mismatch, timing skew, interleaving errors, and calibration.
β’ Proven experience in guiding complex analog/mixed-signal ICs from architecture through tapeout and silicon bring-up.
β’ Deep proficiency with standard industry tools for analog/mixed-signal design, simulation, and verification.
β’ Must qualify as a U.S. person as defined by ITAR or be eligible for a federally issued export control license.
β’ Reasonable accommodations available during the employment or interview application process.
β’ Equal opportunity employment.
