This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma, +1 more state.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, delivering technical insights and promoting enhancements to guarantee that IIoT systems are scalable, secure, and consistently available.
• Collaborate with and guide junior team members in addressing network and security issues, as well as in the connectivity of Kepware and IIoT/OT, and the configuration and development of PTC ThingWorx.
• Install and set up software, applications, and infrastructure within AWS Outpost, on-premise virtual machines, and AWS Cloud environments.
• Develop and apply cyber protection best practices and configurations in accordance with NIST 800-53 R5 standards.
• Supervise the creation and delivery of training programs for government personnel regarding the configuration and maintenance of IIoT environments.
• Create and/or validate PTC ThingWorx model designs that advocate for uniformity among machine tools and the standardization of metrics.
• Formulate solutions capable of scaling for high-volume time-series data ingestion and retrieval, integrating with AWS and PTC ThingWorx.
• Collaborate with project managers to coordinate the onboarding of new OT equipment, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and timelines.
• Demonstrated experience as a practical technologist and technology strategist/solution architect or in a similar capacity within a technology-oriented setting.
• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in large enterprise or industrial-scale operations.
• In-depth knowledge of IoT technologies and industry standards.
• Capability to spearhead the technical execution of IIoT/OT connectivity and PTC ThingWorx implementation across several sites.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, with AWS being the preferred choice.
• Familiarity with various programming languages, particularly Java and JavaScript.
• Skillful in designing and implementing application architectures and integrations.
• Experience with Git-based source control and managing pull requests for feature-driven development.
• Strong understanding of data management and analytics.
• Background in Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and facilitate technical discussions.
• Over 8 years of professional experience, including more than 5 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related academic field.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a Secret Clearance; this requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Must successfully complete a drug test and background check.
• Willingness to travel up to once a month to Tinker, Hill, or Robins Air Force Base.
• Experience with PTC ThingWorx.
• Familiarity with serverless architecture and cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of integrating machine learning and AI within IIoT solutions.
• Experience with security best practices for cloud and IIoT applications.
• Understanding of industry-specific IIoT regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
