This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Lead, assess, and design PODS’s Enterprise Information Architecture.
• Create a comprehensive view and roadmap for the company's technology strategy, processes, and IT roadmap.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure technical solutions align with the company’s objectives and mission.
• Deliver Information Architecture blueprints and designs that correspond with functional IA roadmaps.
• Advocate for Information Architecture and emphasize the significance and impact of effective IA design and governance to IT and business teams.
• Proactively initiate and coordinate teams in complex technology assessments, proofs of concept, and prototyping activities.
• Design and document data flows throughout the technology landscape.
• Create data models for analytics and reporting while evaluating their feasibility.
• Set data standards in collaboration with business data governance groups, including master, reference, and structural standards.
• Collaborate with solution architects on data integration and service architectures.
• Identify architectural designs and change requirements driven by business needs and capabilities.
• Establish and document strategic enterprise application architecture standards across various platforms and engineering teams.
• Oversee the mapping of enterprise information architecture models to package application models and evaluate vendor solution suitability.
• Ensure that business data and information requirements are fulfilled through intentional information architecture.
• Document infrastructure architecture environments and procedures.
• Develop blueprints for data architecture, including multi-year transition and modernization recommendations.
• Re-engineer and maintain a comprehensive view of data across business systems.
• Analyze user information requirements and design supporting data structures.
• Promote enterprise information solutions such as MDM, metadata management, analytics, content management, data integration, and information infrastructure components.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related field.
• At least 12+ years of enterprise-level experience in data architecture, database design, or business intelligence.
• 7+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
• Experience working in a company or government agency with a minimum of 300 employees in the private sector or 500 employees in a governmental agency.
• Qualification in an Enterprise Architecture framework, such as TOGAF or ZF, is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with MDM, BI, data warehouse design, and implementation techniques.
• Familiarity with industry-standard middleware, ETL, master data hub, and service-oriented architecture design and delivery solutions.
• Experience with BI and analytics architectures, including traditional warehousing, distributed computing, NoSQL, virtualization, or data streaming.
• Experience in defining Information Architectures for cloud-based solutions and technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Azure SQL, Cassandra, and Cosmos.
• Understanding and hands-on experience with ERWin or another industry-standard modeling tool for OLTP and OLAP data models and their implementation.
• Knowledge of domain modeling, business process data flows, business information modeling, entity flow diagrams, common information models, and Master Data Management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Stack.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake.
• Knowledge and practical experience in implementing data management capabilities, including Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, and Data Governance.
