This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate new B2B accounts within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
• Establish rapport with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Utilize cold calling, networking events, trade shows, and referrals to create a pipeline of qualified leads.
• Develop territory strategies based on geography, industry, and account potential.
• Conduct visits to customer sites, perform product demonstrations, and engage in value-based discovery.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales contracts; negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels.
• Foster and sustain long-term client relationships through follow-ups, consultations, and ongoing service.
• Utilize CRM systems daily to manage pipelines, forecast accurately, and record activities.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, and Customer Service regarding delivery, inventory, and issue resolution.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events; keep an eye on competitors and market trends.
• Provide post-sale support, coordinate training, and promote product adoption.
• Maintain expert knowledge of abrasive and super abrasive grinding products and services.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes.
• Meet or surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Complete additional assigned tasks and projects.
• Report directly to the General Manager.
• Demonstrated history of surpassing sales targets in a competitive landscape.
• Outside sales experience in manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with abrasive or super abrasive products is a plus.
• Familiarity with selling to manufacturers or distributors is preferred.
• Strong territory planning and time management skills.
• Capability to juggle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and achieve established sales metrics.
• Proven success in meeting quotas using consultative/value-selling approaches and engaging multiple stakeholder buying groups.
• Technical knowledge to learn product lines and apply them effectively to customer needs.
• Comfort in working within plant/production environments.
• Ability to influence purchasing decisions through effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong presentation skills and strategic networking capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Strong discipline in managing pipelines and accuracy in forecasting.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel within the territory approximately 50% or more as necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A 2- or 4-year college degree is preferred.
• Engineering or Technical degree is preferred.
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Ability to perform prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
• Capable of moderate to heavy hand use, with repetitive hand movements and finger coordination.
• Effective speech and hearing capabilities for group, one-on-one, and telephone communication.
• High levels of concentration, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
