This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan aimed at achieving annual revenue and growth targets.
• Create new business opportunities through networking, referrals, influential contacts, and targeted prospecting efforts.
• Establish connections with C-suite executives, HR leaders, CFOs, and business proprietors.
• Conduct consultative meetings with clients focusing on employee benefits, talent attraction and retention, well-being, compensation strategies, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Develop and present proposals, presentations, and business cases that illustrate measurable value for clients.
• Collaborate with specialists in employee benefits, retirement, actuarial services, well-being, compliance, analytics, and consulting.
• Spearhead discussions on sales and renewal strategies while broadening service offerings.
• Keep track of market trends, workforce challenges, healthcare cost drivers, labor market dynamics, and regulatory changes.
• Work alongside service teams to ensure outstanding client experiences and long-term retention.
• Utilize CRM systems and sales analytics to oversee pipeline activities, forecast revenue, and monitor business development.
• Represent Howden at industry conferences, networking events, and client gatherings.
• Provide mentorship to junior producers and business development professionals as appropriate.
• Over 7 years of proven experience in business development, consulting, advisory roles, employee benefits, workforce solutions, human capital consulting, HR technology, retirement consulting, or related fields.
• A demonstrated history of generating new business revenue and fostering long-term client relationships.
• Deep understanding of employee benefits and workforce-related solutions.
• Consultative selling approach with the ability to engage senior business leaders in strategic conversations.
• Capability to identify complex workforce issues and devise customized solutions.
• Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in pipeline management.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or equivalent systems.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong commitment to growth and client advocacy.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various service lines and disciplines.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Active Life, Accident & Health License, or ability to acquire one upon hiring.
• Experience with middle-market and large employer clients is preferred.
• Established network within the employer, HR, benefits, or business leadership community is preferred.
• Preferred certifications include CEBS, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI, CLU, ChFC, or other relevant industry credentials.
