This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop and nurture relationships within the Private Equity ecosystem to create strategic, long-term sales momentum.
• Identify and connect with Portfolio Operations leads, Operating Partners, and Value Creation directors at targeted funds.
• Utilize an established professional network to gain access to highly restricted PE environments.
• Employ PE financial and operational terminology to gain credibility with operational leadership.
• Navigate intricate PE procurement processes to secure Master Service Agreements across portfolio companies.
• Position RRD on preferred lists for initiatives focused on operational inefficiencies and cost reduction.
• Broaden RRD’s presence across targeted portfolio companies through successful initial engagements.
• Cross-sell and enhance RRD services into additional portfolio assets.
• Introduce operational assessments during both pre-acquisition due diligence and throughout the holding phases.
• Utilize assessments to build a pipeline and secure execution contracts post-acquisition closure.
• Achieve results measured by signed MSAs, executed assessment engagements, and sales revenue linked to PE relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Experience as a former management consultant from McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Big 4, or a tier-1 operations consulting firm, particularly in Private Equity or Post-Merger Integration practices; or as a former COO, VP of Sales, or VP of Operations who has successfully scaled and exited a PE-backed portfolio company; or a proven record in professional-services sales directly to PE funds.
• Must be located in a primary PE hub: New York City, Greenwich, CT, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco/Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles; secondary consideration for Austin, Miami, or Atlanta.
• Extensive knowledge of EBITDA, IRR, Multiple Expansion, and 100-Day Plans.
• Capability to master RRD’s services portfolio and align solutions with PE financial and operational goals.
• Proficiency in low-volume, high-trust Account-Based Selling strategies and complex institutional sales cycles.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deploy specialized delivery teams.
