This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Senior Managing Director of Value Creation.
• Assist LLR portfolio companies in accelerating revenue growth, enhancing commercial efficiency, and developing scalable go-to-market strategies.
• Lead significant portfolio engagements personally while managing and nurturing a team of go-to-market professionals.
• Analyze commercial challenges and opportunities that significantly impact enterprise value, converting insights into actionable plans.
• Remain actively involved through execution and track measurable results.
• Create and implement go-to-market playbooks, tools, benchmarks, and best practices across portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with CEOs and executive teams of portfolio companies to evaluate go-to-market performance and formulate actionable improvement strategies.
• Direct engagements across areas such as sales effectiveness, revenue operations, marketing, customer success, pricing, packaging, channel strategy, and commercial organization design.
• Set objectives, milestones, and measurable outcomes for engagements.
• Establish scalable, data-driven go-to-market capabilities and translate strategies into measurable revenue and EBITDA impact.
• Evaluate investment opportunities by assessing the quality, scalability, and sustainability of go-to-market models.
• Review pipeline, forecasting, bookings, customer acquisition, retention, expansion, productivity, compensation, organizational structure, marketing effectiveness, and customer success.
• Identify commercial opportunities, risks, necessary investments, and post-close priorities.
• Oversee third-party diligence firms, consultants, data providers, and market resources.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of AI advancements and their implications for SaaS and technology-driven businesses.
• Identify and assist in implementing practical AI applications across go-to-market functions.
• Assess AI use cases, providers, implementation requirements, risks, and anticipated returns.
• Manage, mentor, and develop go-to-market team members while allocating resources across engagements.
• Align go-to-market initiatives with finance, operations, product, technology, talent, and data/analytics functions.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and operating framework of the Value Creation Team.
• Build trusted relationships with LLR partners, deal professionals, portfolio company leaders, and external advisors.
• Clearly communicate complex commercial issues and recommendations to investment and operating audiences.
• Previous experience as a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) or equivalent senior commercial executive in multiple SaaS or technology-enabled software companies.
• Proven track record of scaling revenue, enhancing sales productivity, increasing customer retention and expansion, and building high-performing go-to-market teams.
• Experience with private equity-backed companies is highly preferred.
• Background in a private equity operating, portfolio operations, or value-creation role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with commercial or go-to-market investment diligence, including relevant diligence firms, consultants, data sources, and market resources.
• Solid understanding of current AI capabilities and practical applications within the go-to-market function.
• Experience in managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and engagements while maintaining focus on measurable portfolio impact.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical judgment and business acumen, capable of navigating between strategic issues and detailed execution.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree or relevant professional experience is a plus.
• Collaborative, low-ego, and highly team-oriented attitude.
• Comfortable influencing without direct authority and collaborating with management teams.
• Equally effective in strategic advisory roles and hands-on operational tasks.
