This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of pipelines for BME's Monitoring, Evaluation, and Quality Improvement (MEQI) practice, along with associated public health data and analytics sectors.

• Act as Account Manager and/or Practice Lead, offering technical and advisory support, strategic guidance, quality supervision, and relationship management.

• Oversee accounts, personnel, and practice/service areas; manage Associates up to Senior Consultants.

• Identify and pursue business prospects with current clients, seek out new clients and RFPs, lead proposal creation, and engage in business pitches.

• Maintain a visible presence externally through platforms such as LinkedIn, newsletters, relevant forums, and health data systems communications.

• Monitor and identify opportunities in public health data modernization, AI-driven analytics, HIE integration, and RHTP-aligned evaluations and technical support.

• Organize go/no-go assessments, technical shaping, case studies, capability briefs, and external communications.

• Build and sustain networks of clients, potential primes, partner organizations, and candidates for strategic partnerships.

• Facilitate discussions on teaming and initial subcontract negotiations.

• Identify, plan, staff, and represent BME at pertinent conferences and speaking engagements.

• Manage speaking engagements and conference logistics in collaboration with the MEQI practice and firm leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or client relationship management in health IT, public health consulting, or a closely related field is required; 10+ years is preferred.

• At least 4 years of experience within a consulting firm environment.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing people.

• At least 3 years of project management or leadership experience.

• A Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, Health Informatics, Biostatistics, or a closely related discipline is required.

• At least 5 years of client-facing experience, including 2 or more years in project leadership roles.

• Proven network within state public health data modernization, health information exchange (HIE), CDC PHIG or RHTP-aligned technology, or AI-assisted analytics for health agencies.

• Experience in navigating state government procurement processes and multi-party collaboration structures.

• A history of converting networking into a qualified pipeline and subsequent contract awards.

• Experience collaborating with or within technical consulting teams without direct technical ownership of the work.

• Familiarity with public health data systems, HIE environments, and federal data modernization frameworks, including PHIG, TEFCA, and RHTP technology standards.

• Working knowledge of AI and analytics tool integration in state and local public health contexts.

• Understanding of state government procurement procedures and dynamics in public health consulting teaming.

• Strong writing skills for business development materials, capability briefs, and external content.

• Capability to qualify, prioritize, and delegate opportunities effectively.

• Ability to function without direct authority over technical specialists.

• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic consulting environment.

• Ability to navigate multiple BME teams with differing priorities.
