This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Construct, uphold, and evaluate intricate Excel financial models for investments in real estate tax credits.
• Create financial forecasts, investment assessments, and transaction scenarios.
• Act as the main client liaison throughout the transaction process, collaborating with developers, investors, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
• Independently manage multiple client engagements and transactions with minimal oversight.
• Counsel clients on transaction structure, financial viability, tax credit optimization, and partnership frameworks.
• Prepare and arrange client deliverables efficiently.
• Investigate technical and industry-related issues, analyze data, and present insights to clients and internal teams.
• Mentor and assist in the growth of junior staff members.
• Provide general consulting services to aid clients in achieving their strategic and financial goals.
• Bachelor's degree (4-year).
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Over five years of experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), including underwriting, financial modeling, development, consulting, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with Historic Tax Credits (HTC), affordable housing, or other real estate tax credit investments.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience in structuring intricate real estate tax credit transactions.
• Strong grasp of partnership structures and partnership taxation.
• Knowledge of real estate financial statements and operational performance.
• Exceptional client management, communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management abilities.
• Highly developed skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Capability to work autonomously, manage multiple transactions, and provide outstanding client service.
