This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
β’ Assist in the screening and underwriting of new investment opportunities.
β’ Perform initial assessments and pre-pricing evaluations.
β’ Update and run financial models for tax/hybrid and preferred equity transactions.
β’ Create investment documentation for the Investment Committee, including transaction economics, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments.
β’ Collaborate with senior Structuring team members to manage transactions from initiation to closure.
β’ Review sponsor financials, project agreements, and due diligence materials.
β’ Identify risks associated with transactions and key value drivers.
β’ Leverage technology and AI-enabled tools for modeling, diligence, and reporting tasks.
β’ Enhance processes and standardize models, Investment Committee memos, and term sheets.
β’ Provide limited external support in communications with developers, investors, and advisors.
β’ Assist in portfolio management and reporting, including tracking project performance against underwriting benchmarks.
β’ Contribute to efforts aimed at scaling tax equity workflows and developing technology-driven financing products.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in renewable energy, structured finance, infrastructure investing, investment banking, or a closely related area.
β’ Proven experience with tax equity, project finance, or other structured renewable energy transactions.
β’ Strong skills in financial modeling and structuring.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of core valuation and return concepts.
β’ Proficient in Excel with the ability to build and navigate complex financial models.
β’ Experience in preparing transaction documentation and conducting due diligence.
β’ Familiarity with tax equity structures such as partnership flip, T-flip, hybrid, and preferred equity.
β’ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
β’ Capacity to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
β’ Willingness to adopt new technology platforms and incorporate AI tools into daily routines.
β’ FINRA SIE, Series 79, and 63 licenses, or a commitment to obtain them with Cruxβs broker-dealer sponsorship.
β’ Proficiency in VBA or Python is advantageous.
β’ Knowledge of IRS requirements, safe harbor tests, or recapture provisions is a plus.
β’ Experience in a transaction-focused environment with client interaction responsibilities is beneficial.
β’ An MBA or MS degree is a plus.
