Tax Management Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Support the VP of Tax Management in supervising Tax Administration Services and expanding the firm’s tax services along with value-added offerings.

• Collaborate with Fund Administration leadership and the VP of Tax Management to develop tax administration services.

• Aid the Fund Administration Team in analyzing and calculating dividend and capital gain distribution rates.

• Prepare ROCSOP along with necessary tax adjustments and classifications for shareholder reports.

• Complete income and excise tax returns.

• Calculate and track book-to-tax discrepancies.

• Provide tax reallocation data for shareholder 1099 reporting.

• Oversee the preparation of financial statement tax disclosures.

• Prepare fiscal year-end tax provisions for auditors.

• Assist auditors in calculating excise distributions.

• Investigate the tax implications of all security types within client ETFs.

• Collaborate with clients to enhance the success of their ETFs and businesses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent professional experience.

• Two to four years of relevant work experience.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Familiarity with and practical experience in the application of mutual fund industry tax laws and regulations.

• Specific experience with exchange-traded funds is strongly preferred.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to adapt to and embrace a changing technological landscape.

• Exposure to various fund accounting and reporting systems.

• Candidates located near Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; New York City, NY; and West Palm Beach, FL will be prioritized.
