Manager, Talent Development

📋 Description

• Oversee the annual talent development calendar for the P&R Group.

• Collaborate with HR and business leaders to evaluate needs pertaining to leadership capabilities, manager efficiency, employee growth, and talent preparedness.

• Convert talent development insights into yearly group-wide priorities.

• Work alongside Continuous Improvement, Operations, and functional leaders to ensure alignment of talent development programs with technical, functional, and operational training.

• Organize leadership development initiatives, workshops, learning experiences, and Marmon-sponsored development opportunities.

• Manage facilitators, vendors, subject matter experts, enrollment processes, communications, scheduling, materials, attendance, logistics, and follow-up actions.

• Provide a consistent, high-quality experience for participants.

• Assist in establishing leadership development pathways for frontline leaders, managers, and seasoned leaders.

• Sustain development resources, toolkits, facilitator guides, playbooks, and educational materials.

• Coordinate development initiatives aligned with Individual Growth Plans (IGPs).

• Facilitate mentorship and coaching programs, along with reinforcement activities.

• Maintain and enhance a standardized onboarding program for salaried employees.

• Collaborate with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and HRIS resources to ensure a consistent onboarding process.

• Provide operational assistance for talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning processes.

• Keep accurate records of development activities, program documentation, playbooks, procedures, and standard work.

• Implement and continuously refine programs that promote leadership capabilities, employee growth, onboarding, mentorship, talent preparedness, and development planning.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.

• Five to seven years of experience in talent development, learning and development, human resources, training coordination, or program management.

• Proven experience collaborating with business leaders to assess talent development needs and convert insights into actionable learning and development solutions.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities with excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to influence and work collaboratively across a decentralized organization.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR or learning technologies.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% to 35%.

• Customer-focused and process-oriented mindset.

• Discipline to maintain accurate records, coordinate complex logistics, and enhance programs based on feedback and data.

• Preferred: Experience in manufacturing and multi-site organizations.

• Preferred: Experience in coordinating leadership development programs.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Workday, Alchemy, learning management systems, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating with external vendors.

• Preferred: Knowledge of talent management, succession planning, and employee development processes.
