This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a team of subcontract professionals tasked with creating, maintaining, and supervising supplier agreements of various risks and complexities.
• Assist in the selection, development, and management of strategic and preferred suppliers to achieve program cost and performance objectives across four operational units.
• Manage team assignments, workloads, staffing levels, performance evaluations, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Execute strategic sourcing and establish long-term supplier agreements.
• Facilitate contract change management, performance oversight, and sole-source/critical-supplier management.
• Negotiate pricing utilizing cost/price analysis and best-value evaluation.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions that encompass financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery obligations, warranties, intellectual property, termination, indemnification, and other associated risks.
• Ensure customer contract stipulations and risks are appropriately reflected in supplier agreements.
• Establish and uphold formal supplier agreements and purchase orders.
• Integrate customer or internal changes into contracts or purchase orders while managing customer requirements and timelines.
• Monitor cost savings and cost avoidance.
• Assist subcontract administrators in defining billing and payment terms, including milestones.
• Facilitate prompt invoice payment and ensure purchase-order awards remain within the program budget.
• Support reductions in Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Ensure subcontract administrators comply with import/export regulations, security regulations related to vendor visits or information sharing, and government contract requirements.
• Aid in audit processes.
• Strategically plan, motivate, and achieve goals through staff utilizing sound scientific/technical judgment, innovative thinking, and strong interpersonal/management skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with 8 years of supply chain procurement experience in a manufacturing setting, OR a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field along with 6 years of supply chain procurement experience in a manufacturing context.
• Prior experience in U.S. government subcontracting (FAR/DFAR).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek and Costpoint.
• Strong negotiation abilities to secure the best value.
• Self-motivated and proactive; capable of instructing and responding swiftly and responsibly.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a team of supply chain professionals with positive outcomes.
• Capability to obtain a Security Clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship as a prerequisite.
• Preferred: 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: Previous leadership experience.
• Preferred: Prior experience managing large teams.
• Preferred: Experience overseeing large subcontracts from inception to completion.
• Preferred: History of negotiating various contract types and terms and conditions.
