This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee annual, multi-year, and scenario-driven strategic planning initiatives.
• Assist leadership in assessing opportunities and establishing enterprise-wide priorities.
• Propose the sequencing of initiatives while balancing growth, risk, resources, feasibility, and capacity.
• Evaluate competing initiatives across various departments, programs, markets, and operations.
• Create portfolio frameworks that compare strategic alignment, impact, cost, risk, feasibility, dependencies, and resource needs.
• Advise on where resources should be increased, decreased, shifted, or postponed.
• Convert research, data, and organizational context into actionable insights.
• Develop strategic scenarios, model potential outcomes, identify implications and dependencies, and present clear options to leadership.
• Coordinate planning efforts across departments, functions, and regions.
• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and synthesize distributed information into cohesive planning outputs.
• Analyze competitive trends, market changes, customer and partner requirements, industry shifts, emerging risks, and internal performance indicators.
• Identify opportunities and threats, evaluate future scenarios, and suggest strategic responses.
• Assist in determining how budgets, staffing, technology, and operational capacity should align with strategic priorities.
• Assess ROI and resource implications, establish success metrics and strategic KPIs, and recommend corrective measures.
• Create prioritization tools, scoring models, portfolio views, templates, and decision-making frameworks.
• Conduct ad hoc strategic analyses and summarize findings for functional leaders.
• Support evidence-based, enterprise-level, decision-oriented planning efforts.
• Collaborate with teams in Research, Finance, Academic Programs, IT, Career Readiness, International Markets, and others.
• Function as an individual contributor through analysis, influence, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration rather than direct oversight.
• Master’s degree preferred in business administration, strategy, economics, public policy, data analytics, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience may be considered.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in enterprise planning, strategic planning, portfolio management, business analysis, consulting, institutional planning, market analysis, or a similar analytical strategy position.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English at CEFR B2 level or higher.
• Ability to clearly present complex analyses to senior leaders and executive audiences.
• Experience in developing decision frameworks, business cases, prioritization models, portfolio assessments, dashboards, scenario analyses, or executive briefing materials.
• Capability to evaluate trade-offs across strategic value, financial impact, feasibility, risk, timing, resources, and capacity.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Comfort with quantitative data, qualitative findings, mixed-method evidence, and incomplete information.
• Strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Legal authorization to work in Mexico.
• Must reside physically in Mexico City.
• Preferred: experience in higher education, nonprofit strategy, enrollment management, project management and prioritization, program development, or mission-driven organizations.
• Preferred: experience supporting executive leadership, Board preparation, strategic planning cycles, enterprise initiatives, or investment prioritization decisions.
• Preferred: familiarity with technology prioritization, operational improvement, digital transformation, or AI-related investment evaluation.
• Preferred: experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization or business intelligence tools.
• Availability to occasionally work outside of standard local business hours.
