This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Establish and nurture positive, long-lasting relationships with key contacts at hospital-level clients.
• Implement initiatives from the IDN level down to the hospital and account level.
• Foster innovative solutions and partnerships within targeted accounts and customer bases.
• Collaborate with sales leaders and teams to expand prospects and close opportunities effectively.
• Assist in navigating the VAC approval processes for new products and influence VAC members.
• Anticipate customer requirements, market changes, and competitive challenges.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams on overall strategy, marketing content development, and external tactics.
• Manage multiple priorities to advance business objectives.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with key individuals in the cardiovascular interventional sector.
• Evaluate and report on the impact of KOL engagements to cross-functional teams.
• Clearly communicate Shockwave Medical’s clinical, reimbursement, health economics, and pricing value propositions to key strategic accounts.
• Exhibit comprehensive product knowledge and engage in high-level clinical discussions with physicians.
• Uphold company standards related to ethical conduct and professionally represent the organization.
• Adhere to corporate compliance, FDA regulations, medical device quality standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least 5 years of sales experience as a territory manager in the medical device field.
• Experience in the cardiovascular interventional area is preferred.
• Proven sales success in catheter technology related to occlusive vascular disease, endovascular, atherectomy, stent, or coronary sales, with peripheral influence preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient understanding of the contracting process and in-depth knowledge of the VAC process.
• Solid grasp of sales applications and principles.
• Strong influencing skills to represent the interests of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional judgment and balanced decision-making abilities.
• Capability to independently manage time and resources within assigned strategic accounts.
• Must not be debarred by the FDA from working in any Medical Device business.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
• Up to 50% domestic travel may be necessary.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team or independently while adapting to evolving requirements.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods (more than 2 consecutive hours within an 8-hour workday).
