This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Establish and nurture positive, enduring relationships with key customers at the hospital level.
• Implement initiatives from the IDN level down to individual hospitals/accounts.
• Propel innovative solutions and partnerships within targeted accounts and customer bases.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and teams to enhance prospecting efforts and secure opportunities.
• Assist in navigating the VAC approval processes for new products and influence VAC members effectively.
• Anticipate customer needs, shifts in the marketplace, and competitive challenges.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams on strategy, marketing content creation, and external tactics.
• Manage numerous priorities to further business strategies.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with influential figures in the cardiovascular interventional field to establish strategic partnerships.
• Evaluate and communicate the impact of KOL engagement to cross-functional teams.
• Clearly articulate Shockwave Medical’s clinical, reimbursement, health economics, and pricing value propositions to key strategic accounts.
• Exhibit comprehensive product knowledge and engage in clinical discussions with physicians.
• Uphold the company's ethical and moral standards.
• Adhere to corporate compliance, FDA, medical device, quality, and ethical standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience as a territory manager in the medical device industry.
• Proven sales experience in catheter technology related to occlusive vascular disease, endovascular procedures, atherectomy, stents, or coronary sales; peripheral influence is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with the contracting process and comprehensive knowledge of the VAC process.
• Solid understanding of sales applications and principles.
• Exceptional influencing skills to represent the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong judgment and balanced decision-making abilities.
• Capability to independently manage time and resources across assigned strategic accounts.
• Must not be debarred by the FDA for work in any medical device business.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Up to 50% domestic travel is required.
• Capability to function as part of a team or independently while adapting to changing requirements.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour workday).
