Manager, Revenue Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of contracts for non-standard arrangements to ascertain the appropriate revenue recognition treatment in alignment with ASC 606, documenting all conclusions reached.

• Oversee and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to revenue.

• Collaborate with system teams to optimize NetSuite ARM usage, enhance process efficiency, and ensure revenue accuracy.

• Identify obstacles, manual tasks, and opportunities for automation within revenue recognition and closing processes.

• Work jointly with revenue operations, pricing, and product teams on Standalone Selling Price studies.

• Engage in M&A revenue-related integration efforts.

• Revise revenue policies and position papers to reflect changing business models, products, and regulatory guidance.

• Support external audits and lead or contribute to cross-functional ad hoc projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA designation is preferred.

• A minimum of 6 years of progressive revenue accounting experience, ideally within SaaS, subscription, or marketplace settings.

• Strong technical knowledge in revenue accounting, including a thorough understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

• Expertise in the NetSuite ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) system.

• Experience in M&A revenue integration or purchase accounting is advantageous.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven history of identifying and executing process enhancements.

• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to convey complex technical accounting concepts to cross-functional, non-financial stakeholders.
