Manager, Revenue Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of contracts for non-standard agreements to establish appropriate revenue recognition treatments as per ASC 606 and document findings.

• Lead and manage revenue-related closing activities at the end of each month, quarter, and year.

• Collaborate with system teams to optimize NetSuite ARM usage and enhance process efficiency and revenue accuracy.

• Identify inefficiencies, manual tasks, and opportunities for automation within the revenue recognition and closing processes.

• Work alongside revenue operations, pricing, and product teams to conduct Standalone Selling Price studies.

• Engage in M&A revenue-related integrations.

• Revise revenue policies and position papers to align with evolving business models, products, and regulatory updates.

• Support external audits and lead or contribute to cross-functional ad hoc projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA designation is preferred.

• Over 6 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, preferably within SaaS, subscription, or marketplace sectors.

• Robust technical revenue accounting expertise, including a comprehensive understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

• Proficiency in the NetSuite ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) system.

• Experience with M&A revenue integration or purchase accounting is advantageous.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven history of identifying and executing process enhancements.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Capability to convey complex technical accounting concepts to cross-functional, non-financial stakeholders.
