Manager, Professional Services Engineers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of Professional Services Engineers responsible for installation, migration, training, and advisory services related to the GitLab platform.

• Take ownership of team performance, development, and daily customer service delivery throughout Europe.

• Collaborate with Technical Architects and Professional Services management on implementation projects, migrations, and statement of work initiatives.

• Lead comprehensive GitLab implementation and migration projects for enterprise clients across Europe.

• Assist in scoping statements of work and coordinate technical resources to meet customer requirements alongside Sales and Customer Success teams.

• Foster team member growth through one-on-one meetings, coaching, constructive feedback, and career discussions.

• Monitor project health, identify potential delivery risks, and escalate or intervene when necessary.

• Track utilization rates, customer satisfaction metrics, and trends in escalations.

• Serve as the senior escalation point for intricate customer issues.

• Enhance Professional Services processes, tools, knowledge sharing, and delivery standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in leading and nurturing high-performing technical teams in a customer-centric environment.

• Solid technical expertise in software delivery, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or a related field.

• Background in managing or supporting professional services, implementation delivery, migration projects, or technical consulting for enterprise clients.

• Demonstrated capability to handle customer escalations, prioritize competing demands, and achieve clear results in complex circumstances.

• Strong collaboration skills with Sales, Customer Success, and Technical Architects.

• A delivery-focused mindset emphasizing accountability, quality, and measurable outcomes.

• Comfortable working in a fully remote and asynchronous organization.

• Excellent written communication and organizational abilities.
