• Act as the key internal authority on global hardware and chemical control regulatory frameworks.
• Safeguard global market accessibility and ensure business continuity through prompt and justifiable regulatory choices.
• Spearhead the interpretation, execution, and governance of chemical and product compliance responsibilities across various regions.
• Oversee the PSRA business systems, data architecture, and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Convert regulatory requirements into scalable digital controls, automated workflows, and AI-supported decision-making.
• Integrate regulatory intelligence into product, supply chain, and customer-facing processes via the Stage Gate process.
• Guarantee ongoing global compliance of fire suppression hardware and chemical agent products in all served markets.
• Serve as the regulatory decision authority for complex or high-risk global compliance matters.
• Direct the regulatory strategy for high-complexity new product introductions (NPI), sustaining products, and significant material or supplier changes.
• Provide scalable, system-enabled regulatory intelligence utilizing modern business platforms and AI-driven tools.
• Anticipate and address emerging regulatory risks to mitigate impacts on business, supply chains, and product safety.
• Lead the interpretation and application of global chemical and hardware regulatory frameworks, including TSCA, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, CPSC, Proposition 65, CE/UKCA, DSL/NDSL, SCIP, and similar APAC and LATAM regulations.
• Manage global regulatory impact assessments and compliance pathways for both new and updated regulations.
• Develop strategies for substance restrictions, material declarations, labeling, documentation, and customer disclosures.
• Act as the regulatory escalation point for audits, customer questions, and enforcement-related issues.
• Integrate regulatory requirements into initial product design, architecture, and material selection processes.
• Ensure compliance throughout the entire lifecycle, considering manufacturing changes, obsolescence, and end-of-life responsibilities.
• Offer regulatory guidance for scaling up, process modifications, and global supply chain transitions.
• Create, manage, and enhance PSRA digital platforms that support chemical management, product compliance, supplier data, and regulatory reporting.
• Serve as the PSRA business owner for IT and data science projects, defining system requirements and priority roadmaps.
• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven capabilities for regulatory horizon scanning, SDS and material risk assessment, predictive compliance risk evaluation, and management of customer documentation and inquiries.
• Ensure governance, traceability, transparency, and audit readiness of regulatory data across systems.
• Establish global supplier compliance data standards and validation criteria.
• Promote digital integration of supplier material and chemical data.
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory disclosures to customers, authorities, and certification bodies.
• Mentor PSRA team members on regulatory strategy, systems thinking, and decision-making based on risk assessment.
• Influence engineering, operations, and commercial leaders by integrating regulatory intelligence into decision workflows.
• Define KPIs, dashboards, and governance structures to evaluate global compliance health and system efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Regulatory Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in global regulatory affairs, product stewardship, or product compliance roles.
• Proven expertise in managing global chemical control and hardware regulatory obligations.
• Experience in designing or implementing AI, automation, or advanced analytics solutions in regulatory or compliance settings.
• In-depth knowledge of global chemical control and product regulatory frameworks.
• High proficiency in SAP and other business intelligence systems to extract necessary sales volume data for both chemical and hardware sectors.
• Strong proficiency in overall business data management systems.
• Capacity to balance regulatory strictness with practical, business-enabling solutions.
• Exceptional systems thinking skills coupled with advanced data literacy.
• Credibility and influence among technical, commercial, digital, and leadership stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to function as both regulatory authority and leader in digital transformation.
