Manager, Product Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the strategy and vision for the SpheraCloud platform product.

• Oversee product priorities and enhancements from conception to full production.

• Generate new ideas informed by industry experience along with feedback from partners and customers.

• Collaborate with solution areas to create and deliver functionalities for SpheraCloud's cloud-based offerings.

• Work alongside internal and external customers, business lines, and Agile teams to advance assigned products.

• Articulate the product vision and uphold a prioritized product backlog in line with business objectives.

• Develop and convey the software development roadmap to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Set and prioritize the release backlog in coordination with engineering counterparts and product owners/managers.

• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to define architecture, user experience, and product features.

• Ensure the overall quality of solutions delivered to customers.

• Analyze market requirements and forecasts for portfolio opportunities and platform enhancement.

• Maintain documentation and profiles for competitors.

• Assist the branding and marketing teams with market positioning.

• Document purchasing processes and identify tools for sales enablement and partner channels.

• Create training materials and tools for Sales, Services, and Customer Care teams.

• Track platform product success metrics and roadmap progress.

• Balance the priorities of maintenance, architecture, and new features to optimize release value.

• Define timelines and content for planned releases.

• Advocate for customers in team discussions.

• Develop user personas and corresponding product capabilities.

• Engage in release, product, and sprint retrospectives.

• Identify issues, propose solutions, and advance project initiatives.

• Maintain and report on product status, including burn up/burn down and velocity metrics.

• Manage the release backlog with a focus on product deliverables.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate a shared platform vision and achieve optimal product results.

• Lead cross-functional teams for significant company initiatives.

• Contribute to Go-To-Market teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, and/or Business/Marketing.

• Over 5 years of experience with software platform design concepts and components.

• More than 5 years of product management experience is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in people management.

• Experience in managing enterprise software applications and/or large-scale product initiatives, especially SaaS applications.

• Strong knowledge of Agile Product Management and Software Development methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, sales personnel, and executives.

• Familiarity with modern technology and architectural patterns.

• Understanding of product development in a cloud environment.

• Knowledge of service-based products and APIs.

• Strong conceptual and analytical abilities to support well-researched and documented plans.

• Proven track record as a self-motivated, results-oriented professional.

• Sound business judgment, practical sense, and insight.
